What could be better than combining the two best things in the world, which is exactly what they’ve done at Cakeageddon, a ghoulish synthesis of cakes and Halloween. Billed as ‘the world’s first edible horror farm’, Cakeageddon is a scary visitors’ attraction on a farm near the English city of Letchworth. Haunted houses – or even haunted farms – that promise to terrify the paying public are nothing new this time of year. It’s the brainchild of Miss Cakehead, a leading light in the Gothic baking game, who’s assembled a cast of likeminded folk – such as Totally Sugar and the Tattooed Bakers – to make her nightmare a reality. They’ve been playing their cards close to their chest about exactly what to expect, in order to maximise the shock value, though Miss Cakehead does emphasise that even though it involves cakes, it is definitely not kids’ stuff.
