Killer Instinct

August 25th, 2017

Warning: Some of the information below is based on facts others are merely fiction…for the time being.

1835. England, the Parliament outlawed bull-baiting and bear-baiting sports in which dogs fought to death against other animals. Gamblers turned their interest to dog fighting, a popular and profitable sport. British dog-fighters created crosses between the English Bulldog and various types of Terriers. This led to the best fighting dogs: Bull Terriers. They had the size, strength, aggression and ferocity to fight to the death.

Are we of the Past?

August 18th, 2017

A few years back everyone was watching movies inspired by us, inspired by our kind. Year 2017 and everyone seems to have forgotten all about it. It was ‘cool’ to be a vampire a few years ago.

Blind Date

June 16th, 2017

‘Tell me again, how did you meet this girl?’

‘In the bar, just around the corner.’

I was sitting with my friend in a café during a short coffee break. We both worked in the same office building and met daily for a chat. He always had something new to share. This time he was excited about a new girl he had met. I had my doubts. But then again I have always been suspicious of people. He on the other hand could not stop talking about her.

The Case of Lidia and the Cuckoo Clock

April 21st, 2017

I have seen a few cases in my life. The work of a psychiatrist is quite surprising from time to time. I’ve had patients who thought they were possessed by the devil or thought they were being haunted, patients who believed they were constantly being followed or even patients who believed they came from another planet. I was able to cure most of them the answer being something as simple as confronting one’s fears. But Lidia…she was…something else.

Merciful Fate

February 10th, 2017

I knew I was cursed the moment I set my eyes on him. I don’t know how he did it but I was completely mesmerized by his features, his dark eyes and unbelievably kissable smile. It was as if time had stopped just for me to observe the beauty that stood before me. I wasn’t having an easy life lately. I was so buried in problems and stress that I hardly paid any attention to my surrounding. Until he forced me to.

Ouija

November 4th, 2016

1Have you ever tried an Ouija board? I have the feeling many of you have, yet, I don’t know how many of you have actually dealt with the consequences. I tried the Ouija board when I was around 15 years old. I haven’t touched one ever since.

The Writer’s Pain

September 30th, 2016

1My guitar teacher once told me that he never composed any music when he was happy. When he was happy he’d be out there in the world enjoying himself. But when he was sad…that was a whole different experience.

The Curse of Monte Cristo

July 15th, 2016

1 I loved her. I loved her so much. I would have done anything for her. I would have given her the clothes I’m wearing and freeze to death, I would have given her my food and starve for her, my heart…I would have died for her.

Dear Mine

May 20th, 2016

Image1Dear mine,

Darkness should be the least of your concerns for it is in darkness where I cannot be seen. Light a candle and I’ll suddenly be there at your side, watching, stalking, waiting…

Spring: the battle between good and evil

February 29th, 2016

1Spring is just around the corner and what better way to celebrate it than with a sweet Romanian tradition?

The 1st of March is a special day in Romania. It’s called ‘Mărțișor’ and on this day all men offer women small gifts accompanied by a red and white ribbon. I usually wear the ‘Mărțișor’ as a brooch and the red and white ribbon as a bracelet around my wrist. When I come across the first tree in bloom, I tie the ribbon to one of its blooming branch and make a wish. They say that those kind of wishes always come true.

A Zombie Life

January 13th, 2016

Zombified-1.docxI’m a zombie. Well, not entirely correct, I think I am a zombie but I am not sure. You see, six months ago I was working in a dull office building minding my own pathetic life and complaining of how I am not really living my life the way I wanted to. That was six months ago. Now I wish I had that life again.
